Rwanda Arts & Crafts Chamber

At PSF Headquarters the presidents of the associations linked to the Chamber of Arts and Crafts have held a meeting to request a more active role at the nucleus approach implementation in Rwanda.

The good results so far achieved. compared with other methodologies have had a positive impact at SMEs level, even at Association level. Associations with nucleus are performing better.

Training in Stock managing and inventory

Nucleus member have been conducting a training in Stock managing and inventory. With PSF (Private Sector Federation) support and with GIZ program Ecoemploi funding the training has toke place in Kigali.

New group of Nucleus Counsellors trained in Musanze - Rwanda

More than 20 candidates to nucleus counsellors have been trained in counselling techniques and methodology in Musanze, Rwanda on the first week of april.

Candidates from 5 districts have participated in the training. Supported by Ecoemploi Program. The training has been conducted as a workshop, where all participants have learn by doing. Nucleus Expert Jordi Castan has conducted his 6th training in Rwanda. With more than 140 participants in the six trainings.

Nucleus Rwanda at the EXPO

This year EXPO has had the strong participation of the Nucleus members. Bakers, Video makers, Metalworks, Leatherworks, Photo studios and Fashion designers have been part of the EXPO with a very good preparation, a better participation and good results to show.

The nucleus participation and training has been supported by Ecoemploi program lead by GIZ and in partnership with PSF (Private Sector Federation) technicaly supported by sequa.

Chamber of Art and Crafts Rwanda

A Breakfast meeting with all presidents of the associations members of the Chamber of Art & Crafts has been organized by PSF ( Private Sector Federation) under Ecoemploi Program (GIZ).

Presidents of the Chamber and their associations wanted to know more about how the Nucleus Approach could improve their organisations.

The main question was how to increase the number of members, how to improve services and how to perform better.

Rusizi District in Rwanda

Rusizi District in Rwanda is the next secondary city where the Nucleus Approach could start. The Nucleus Approach under PSF - GIZ Ecoemploi program is already present in Kigali and in 4 secondary cities Muhanga, Huye, Musanze and Rubavu. Rusizi near the border with RDC and Burundi would be the next.

PSF District board has received last December a group of PSF/ GIZ/sequa consultants and experts to evaluate the number of enterprises and the commitment of the PSF officials in the district and the result was very positive.

Ready to start

The nucleus team at Ecoemploi program in Rwanda has been working hard to set targets, indicators and define actions for the next months.

A lot of work has been done. And much more still needs to be done.

The evaluation, monitoring and planning session has been a great opportunity to set new targets and evaluate the results already achieved.

Nucleus Approach is has been introduced in Rwanda in the Ecoemploi program under PSF (Private Sector Federation) and GIZ and has the technical support of sequa.
