Technical visit to Jam and fruit preserves in Permet, Albania

The women of food procesing nucleus from Dibra, Albania, Who produce fruit and vegetable preserves grown and made in this beautiful albanse region, have gone to Permet and Tirana to visit other food procesors and learn how to improve their business. The activity has been organized by Nucleus Albania and supported by ProSME (GIZ)

Hotel Nucleus in Gjirokastra, Albania

At least 12 hotel owners and managers have started their activities as hotel Nucleus members in Gjirokastra, Albania. For first time they have meet to discuss their problems and try to identify common solutions to solve them. Under Nucleus Albania the tourism sector is creating nucleus in Shkodra and Gjirokastra, in the near future also Durres is targeted to create nucleus linked to the tourism sector.

Travel Agencies nucleus in Shkodra

The nucleus of travel agencies has been created in Shkodra. A group of 10 travel agencies under the work of Nucleus Counsellor Silvana Pica has started in Shkodra.

Joint training and coaching session

Nucleus Counsellors from Albania and Kosovo have had a joint training and coaching activity in Shkodra (Albania) during three days.

Nucleus visits, sharing points of view experiences and having direct contact with SMEs has been an opportunity to improve their knowledge and learn from other counsellors.

Nucleus Counsellors form Albania and Kosovo

Nucleus Counsellors of Kosovo have visited their colegues from Albania to have a better approach of the Nucleus model in Albania. For three days with the support of Nucleus Albania and GIZ, counsellors from project PPSE and the support of Swisscontact have been in Shkodra, Albania following nucleus meetings and activities.

The nucleus visited have been Beauty, Hostels, Travel Agencies, Pastry, Restaurants and Greenhouse farmers.

But the activities have not only been hard work and fruitful meetings. :-)

Nucleus Albania participates at the Mediterranean Food and Drink Festival

Nucleus Albania has participated with three value chain sectors at the Mediterranean Food and Drink Festival.
- Olive and Olive Oil
- Small ruminants. Meat and cheese
- Fruit trees and food processors.

The participation in the event was an opportunity for nucleus members to show their products, have contacts with consumers and clients.

The three sectors show the link between all the value chain actors and how the diferent nucleus could act together to achieve better results and gain new markets.
