How to write better cards

How to write better cards

One of the most common problems that counselors face in their daily work is the cards that are used in Metaplan. How should they be written? What is the correct way to do it?

All the counselors have learned in the formations that there are four rules that must be followed:

- One idea per card
- Maximum three lines
- Clear and understandable ideas by all
- Write in printed letters.

These four rules are easy and everyone knows them, but they are not enough to do a good job. That is why it is necessary to go a little further and improve the writing of the cards.

For the identification of problems cards must be written in a negative way. Correct wording should show that this is a problem.

- Labor or employees - do not describe a problem
- Low-skilled labor or unmotivated employees - indicate problems.

To do even better, when proposing solutions to identified problems, the sentences must have the correct structure, the best way to do this is to write: verb, public and result.

Some examples:
- Train employees in customer service.
- Identify customers who buy more often
- Update the price list.

Without forgetting that the objectives that we propose should be specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and appropriate at the moment. With these examples it will be easier.
